Platform is a nice film which was released in the initial days of Ajay Devgan’s career. Ajay Devgan has worked in more than hundred movies till now and has a huge fan following across the globe. It is guaranteed that if Ajay is working on a film then it’s going be a hit. However, there was a time when Ajay also struggled to get a success even if the film was perfect and he did justice to his role. We are talking about a movie of the 90s which was comparatively less successful on box office than Ajay’s other movies but was appreciated for the story and the hard work done by all actors. Platform which came in 1993 and actress Tisca Chopra made her debut with this film in the industry.

The story of Platform was based on the separation of two brothers Raju and Vikram. The elder brother works in a hotel and the owner of that hotel gets killed by drug addict Hariya. The Police officer believes that Vikram is the murderer and sends him into the prison. Hariya raises the younger brother Raju to use him in future against all his enemies. After few years when Vikram manages to escape from the jail, Hariya shakes hands with another gangster Shetty to finish both Raju and Vikram.

Tisca Chopra looked extremely gorgeous in her first movie but couldn’t get many options to show her talent after Platform. Though, she continuously appeared in TV serials and also worked in some south Indian movies as a supporting actress. Tisca did come back in Aamir Khan’s ‘Taare Zamin par’ but her work was overshadowed by the child actor Darshil in that movie. Actually, 1990 was the time when the film industry was overloaded with talented and beautiful actresses. Maybe that’s why producers and directors didn’t pay much attention to Tisca and unfortunately, she couldn’t work as a lead actor in her young age.

Ajay Devgan’s elder brother’s character was played by Prithvi who gained popularity for his work in his first movie ‘Dil Ka Kya Kasoor’. Paresh Rawal and Mohnish Bahl worked as main villains in Platform who were considered the first choice of filmmakers for negative roles at that time. The film was directed by Deepak Pawar and music was composed by Anand-Milind. Despite having a strong star cast, good music, and excellent story, the film did average on Box office which surprised everyone. However, Ajay Devgan managed to leave his mark on almost every viewer’s mind. We hope that whoever watches Platform will definitely like it.
